To qualify for a South Carolina Security Officer Registration Certificate, you must:

Be employed by a licensed SC security business

Be at least 18 years old

Be a United States citizen

Have no felony convictions or crimes involving moral turpitude

Be of good moral character

Pass a SLED-approved pre-employment drug test

Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Not have been discharged from military service under other than honorable conditions
